And then... he comes waltzing in the room with a fresh bottle of wine and that sexy little smile... and you relax as he refills your glass.
Okay. So this hot guy may not be the man you're trapped with but what (or who) might be? What would you need (or want) if you were Snowbound?

What is the Prize?
Hmm... I can't give you the wine (its illegal to send via the postal service). The guy, well he's not going anywhere. The bed? Sorry, I'm gonna need that too. But I really want to share! Oh, I know! I can easily share the book in my e-Reader! For a chance to win an eBook copy of The Forbidden Claim leave a comment telling us what you would want or need if you ever find yourself Snowbound.

Here's a bit about the eBook I will be giving away.
The Forbidden Claim
US Marshall Jinx Collins is an outspoken, free-spirited, and fearless woman. It’s that same fearlessness, however, that tends to get her into trouble. Jinx questions her life prior to being adopted. When those questions lead her to a murderer who’s about to be transported into the witness protection program, Jinx decides to kidnap him to see if she can uncover the truth. Jed Kane has worked undercover in the human trafficking ring for years. When Jed accepts a job to disguise himself as one of his worst enemies and take a ride from the correctional facility to a secured location, he certainly had not planned on being abducted by Jinx Collins. Jed’s uncertain as to how he feels about her touchy-feely hands and loose lips—unsure if they irritate him or if they are awakening his badly behaving desires. Jed knows he must first find out what the fanatical little lady wants with a murderer before he can act on whatever he’s feeling.
Straight away Jinx is attracted to the resilient and enticing Jed Kane—the only man who hasn’t backed down from her candor. While Jinx discovers that the questionable criminal may be able to assist her in finding out the truth about her past, Jed vows to save Jinx from her daring self. Once Jinx starts to understand what Jed feels for her—he wants to own her—she demands that he succumb to the raging frenzy. Jed allows himself to seduce her body, submitting himself to that dominant need. But haunted by a world of unlawful ownership, Jed forbids his cold heart to stake its dangerous claim on Jinx Collins.
Locked away in a dark basement, a little boy is waiting to be rescued—and Jinx’s past holds the key to his prison. If Jinx can finally find the truth which holds her fears, and if Jed can forgive himself for his past, then not only might they be able to save the boy, but they might also discover that their carnal desires really derive from their own prison... an inescapable prison of love... I'll take the guy. Thank you. Last time I was snowbound I had 3 kids under the age of 6 and no heat or power and hubby was in Orlando. I prefer your scenario! (I noticed your Red Sage book. I'm also a RS author. Hello!)
ReplyDeleteHi Carly! 3 kids under the age of 6 with no heat, power or hubby? Now that sounds like a Supergirl moment to me!
DeleteBeen snowbound before and it's definitely not my favorite thing. I would need electricity (I hate when the power goes out), my kindle and my hubby to keep me happy (oh, and some chocolate!)

Hi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteHuman trafficking is a hot button topic. It's a world that hasn't touched me (not that I know of), but I've read mountains of articles about it. It certainly is a segment of society that needs a hero like Jed and Jinx. A man who works to protect innocence is the sexist type out there.

Well, I have never been snowbound, but, for me it would be one soft doona, one sexy man, plenty of tea bags, wine, chocolate, and then, a few good books to read.annpa@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteAnn,I had no idea what a doona was. I had to look it up and now I know. Thanks for the new word (well, new to me) :)
DeleteI'd need a computer with internet, and a ton of my favorite books with me! :)

ReplyDeleteIf I were snowbound (been there before), I would need electricity (both for charging my Kindle and laptop, cooking, refrigerator, heat), the internet (could be without it for a day or so without going too crazy), all the ingredients for a batch of Vegetable soup & cornbread, some chocolate &/or salty snacks. Plus lots of books to read while curled up with my dogs and a blanket :)
